  Carlos is the owner of this shop and he kindly drove along with me to diagnose my issue. And even after 40 mins he was able to provide a non committal recommendation. I walked away without a charge because he advised that no repair was needed at this moment. Wow, what honesty. This shop defies common misperceptions about this industry. Kudos and thank you Carlos and Cindi.

  Took my clunker in for a basic brake measurement and coolant flush. Attempted to sell me about $2000.00 worth of repairs, more than the value of the car. The most egregious was ~$220 for "cleaning and lubricating the backplate" of rear brakes because of "dust and noise". Who falls for that? Estimate of repairs well over the value of the car. For repairs that were legitimate, they did not provide options such as used or online parts to save on repairs. Huge mark-up on parts and exaggerated labour time for the task, as well as a charge of $10-$40 for each repair for "shop supplies". New parts sold as 'kit'--we all know that these fairly standard parts are purchased in bulk and the price of a new kit is charged to each customer. Does not have labour rate or customer rights and responsibilities visibly posted on wall, which is a violation of Manitoba Consumer Law. I've dealt with dealerships more honest. I suspect the other google reviews are by the owner or friends and family. I recommend avoiding this shop.
