    This experience has taught me that a big fancy store with a big name means nothing without quality products. I wouldn't shop at Michael Hill again.

    Second stop was Charm diamonds, the SA there seemed not as cheerful in comparison- still very nice, but more reserved. I guess you don't have to fake cheerfulness when your product speaks for itself. We ended up buying GORGEOUS diamond studs, same number of carats as MH, for $550. Oh, and they were certified Canadian diamonds as well.

    My husband and I were looking for diamond stud earrings for my birthday. We made two stops at St Vital mall. First at Michael Hill. The SA there was nice, but the clarity of the diamonds he was showing us were HORRENDOUS. They looked almost grey, were so cloudy, and didn't have any natural sparkle. They were "marked down" from $600 to $300, but I wouldn't have paid $1 for those. I also asked where they were sourced from and he had no clue.
